After John Kerry won the first debate, we got email telling us that KH4K's time had passed. Kerry had his groove now! He's finally closing! Then came the second half of debate #2, when a more familiar windy, name-dropping and condescending Kerry reemerged.
Let's not kid ourselves: We're not going to vote for this man in a wave of enthusiasm and commitment. If he wins, it's gonna be a grim four years! Don't ask us to be blind to the obvious. Don't try to make us love him!
We need to be strong. In the dark hours, when you think, "Can I really vote for this guy? Isn't he, like, a gigantic turkey," the KH4K community will be here for you, whispering, "Yes, you can! ... And yes, he is!"

Debate moderator tells Gephardt: "It should have been you up there"
By Deborah Peterson 10/10/2004 http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/columnists.nsf/debpeterson/story/2A03A9BD4839815886256F28001DA9CB?OpenDocument&Headline=Debate+moderator+tells+Gephardt%3A+%22It+should+have+been+you+up&highlight=2%2Cgephardt UN-DEB-ATE-ABLE: With St. Louis in a tizzy over the second presidential debate Friday night, it was no wonder that some of our town's best and brightest were spotted mingling with the nation's leaders at the Washington University athletic center. It was also a time to put aside partisan political differences and to bask in the national glow that the debate and the hometown baseball team had brought to town. Favorite son Rep. Richard Gephardt was surrounded nearly everywhere he went by U.S. senators and lawmakers, reporters and former staffers, all wanting to wish him well. A high point of his popularity was evidenced after the debate when ABC newsman and debate moderator Charles Gibson said to Gephardt in a private moment: "It should have been you up there - things would have been different." Hello all you fellow Americans and potential voters out there. I've been taking some breaks from playing golf and showing off my tough-talk and technique to the media to find what you've been saying about me.
First of all, I want to say thank you to all those warmongers who have been speaking on my behalf. I most dearly thank you because if it wasn't for you, it would be difficult to get away with all my lies about stockpiles of nukes in Iraq and Saddam and Osama being old buddies and working together to plot 9/11. I feel bad for leaving you with the dirty work, but for what's it worth, I am grateful to you for trying to cover my rear end. And for it, nearly 50% of the country still supports me.
On the other hand, I apologize to all the peace mongers shouting in front of the white house and hope you will still consider voting for me. After all, I like Martin Luther King, too. I believe in freedom and equality, as well as peace, that's why I sent your brothers and sisters over to Iraq so I could stop those terrorist killers. Besides, it wasnft my fault. My daddy made me do it. Anyway, youfre stuck with me. My rich constituents have more than enough money to control the media and finance my campaign. Your middle-class nickels and dimes wonft be enough to help Kerry beat me. But donft worry. I am cutting taxes, so the CEOS can provide a nice juicy minimum wage job for you. That way, you can feel nice and snug under our wing.
Well, liberals and patriots, I got a run. I have some oil tycoons, gun lobbyists, a few Saudis and Bin Ladens and Dick and Daddy Bush waiting to finish this last game of golf with me. I bet an OPEC member a million barrels of oil on this one, and at the moment, I have the edge. I wish you could see my drive. Actually, you can see me play in a new movie by a filmmaker named Michael Moore, but donft believe what he says about me. And remember, as John Ashcroft always said, "remain vigilant." Recently, I overheard that the Al Qaeda are planning to invade the suburbs. Ifm thinking about raising the threat level to cherry red.

"When we went into Iraq we found missles and artilery customized to hold Chemicals..and we found labs to make the chemicals,"
We never found any labs and we never found any chemical weapons. The Bush administration thought there were mobile labs there and tried to prove it, but it turned out to be false. And there's still know hard evidence that Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda are connected in any way. Personally, it seems obvious that Saddam had nothing to do with terrorism and that he was not a threat to the United States and that this government is just playing games. "see thats the problem with you pussy bastards...you bitch and moan when we get attacked so when we do sumthing about it so it dosent happen again you cry again...WTF!" Yeah, we have a lot of conservatives and bush supporters coming to this site to give us so-called liberals a lecture about this kind of talk because they seem to believe were the only ones who use foul language and make insults. So, anyway, take your cheap shots to a different forum and get your facts straight next time. Re: Debate moderator: It should have been Gephardt!

He may look like a "philospher/king" to you, but in reality he may well have been the worst president in history.
Allowing the Shah of Iran to fall was probably the single worst foreign-policy move ever. That gave moslem extremism it's foothold in the modern world. Double-digt inflation and unemployment. 20% interest rates. Ah, the good old days. Even as an ex-president, he's been a disaster. The "agreed framework" with North Korea, whereby we paid them ransom in return for a promise not to develop nukes. And they did it anyway? Carter may be the worst American pubic figure ever, not just the worst president. Re: Re: BE STRONG!

By far the most unsettling thing about partisans on both sides of the aisle is their certainty. Is it really so surprising in this era of media saturation that we end up with the least principled and most bland candidates? How can anyone be absolutely positive that either of these men will lead America in the right direction? I am no Kerry fan, but I would not count myself among his haters. The same goes for Bush. However, I will unenthusiastically cast my vote for Kerry because I believe strongly in fiscal responsibility, sensible energy policy, and a more realistic war on terror. Am I sure Kerry has the mettle to accomplish these goals? No. But I do believe he's a better bet than Bush, and I can't stand by as this administration steers the country further down the path of evangelical neoconservatism.

When you get some free time, research George Soros. This man has made most of his billions by manipulating world economic markets, then he goes in and buys company stocks at very low rates. Soros has donated $25 million dollars to help get Kerry elected. Why? Soros knows that Kerry's economic plan for this nation will send us right into an economic depression. When our stock market crashes, he plans to buy! When the US market crashes, it impacts all other world markets as well. Ask economists, business owners, and even Alan Greenspan if Kerry's economic plans will destroy our economy. They all agree! You say you haven't heard about any of this? That would be because Soros owns stock in just about every main news media network (except for Fox). He is currently trying his best to ruin Fox news. Go to moveon.org (a website owned and operated by Soros son) and see his plans to ruin Fox. By the way, Soros also donates money to Tom Daschle, the Clintons, to the ACLU, and most recently to Obama Baca in IL. Be careful who you vote for ....you may be voting for the next great depression! But, don't believe me....research George Soros thoroughly and see if I'm lying!

Ummm. I'm lazy. How bout instead of just saying all this crap, you give us proof. If you are really telling the truth, you'd have proof, right? Why are you making us do all the work? Or are you counting on us to just be lazy or reach deadends, and assume that you are telling the truth? Well, I am lazy, but I will not stand for that. I am lazy enough that I am going to assume everything you say is false, cause it sounds like crap anyway. So give me proof or give me Kerry! Can I get an Amen?

Those are your references of proof? NewsMax? The Freep? Oh man, you are so desperate.
Articles from TheMilitant.com or WSWS.org (go look them up, you'll enjoy it) would be just as objective and reliable as anything from your sites. There are plenty of good reasons to hate George Soros. For example, he's a member of The Carlyle Group. But claiming he's the secret power behind the DNC is just dumb. Inside Soros
Who's Soros Now? Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. The political left loves to prattle about the plight of the poor, but their darlings are increasingly culled from a small club of the world's richest men. Last year it was media mogul Ted Turner who won leftist affections by advocating population control and bailing out the United Nations. This year, it is George Soros, the billionaire hedge-fund operator who has turned like a snake on the system of economics that made him rich. His new book is The Crisis of Global Capitalism, which argues for a world central bank and an army of new global regulators to straighten out the world monetary mess, according to the Sorosian prescription. Like Turner before him, Soros also has a message about morality. He believes that currency traders and international financiers, operating in a cruel and amoral market, have far too much influence. That influence must be restrained by more national and international government power. No need to go on characterizing Soros's Grand Theory. The declaration that capitalism must be hobbled has been made ten thousand times since socialist thinking became the vogue a century ago. As usual, behind it is a deep distrust of human freedom combined with an unwarranted faith in government control. Of course, Soros may be right that the world monetary system is systematically unraveling. But today's system was constructed by the very planners that Soros says ought to be given the power to redesign the world economy once again. In fact, what we need is a monetary system that manages itself the way the gold standard used to. What's more interesting is the psychology of billionaires who want to deny others the opportunities that made them rich and influential. Out of guilt or a desire to block others from following in their footsteps, they adopt a redistributionist mentality, not just in their philanthropy but in their politics. So intense is his faith in government that he has even advocated even a centralized Department of Bereavement. Yet the roots go deeper to a rejection of economics. Back in 1992, Soros's hedge fund speculated against an overvalued British pound. That nation's central bank chose the brainless path of "defending" the currency and thereby depleted its reserves. The press began to call Soros "the man who broke the Bank of England." He began to believe it. "It is sort of a disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything," the New Oxford Review quotes him as observing. "But I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out." Of course, the pound went down not because Soros wanted it to, but because of real economic factors having to do with British monetary mismanagement. But he wants to give himself the credit, and later, when his power proved for naught in other situations, came to believe that no other man should have such influence. In a market economy, no man has the power to shape the world on his own. Entrepreneurs excel at anticipating consumer behavior and acting on it; they do not control the behavior itself. Speculators excel at predicting future values; they do not control those values. Capitalism means allowing people to get rich by serving the needs of others. But becoming a billionaire apparently temps some to a form of meglomania. This disease has other effects. Tired of competing for their place in the market economy, they long to impose their wisdom on the masses by means of state power. This is why they are inclined to adopt an anti-capitalist credo. They imagine that their wealth and power will give them a leg up when it comes time to design the world according to socialist strictures. So long as we are psychologizing about billionaires turning to leftist ideology, we must not forget the all-important motive of self interest. In Soros's case, this was on ugly display during the Russian debt collapse. Desperate for hard currency and facing a fiscal crisis, the Russian government guaranteed wildly high returns on its debt instruments. Believing that Russia would never be allowed to fail, Soros took huge positions in its bonds. His conversion to the cause of financial socialism began as Congress refused to bailout Russia, and Soros's fund started bearing the weight of margin calls. Eventually, the losses would total $2 billion. His new book admits that he burned up the phonelines calling for governments to loot their taxpayers on his behalf, with additional panicked calls to central bankers and finance officials to pressure them into doing so. Soros made the wrong bet, lost one of his shirts, and turned against capitalism. He believed himself to be the most powerful man in the world. It turned out that there is something more powerful, which is the market itself. So Soros, the new poster child of the left, turns out to be nothing more than a disgruntled rich guy tired of the risks that made him wealthy. In similar fashion, we see Netscape, Oracle, and Sun Microsystems calling on the government to crush Microsoft because it beat them in a free and competitive marketplace. Speculators like Soros have done great good for the world when they have used their talents within the framework of the market economy. But when they decide to cozy up to politicians, pose as philosopher kings, and urge government planning on the world, they are capable of doing enormous evil. Recall that Friedrich Engels was a wealthy businessman too. If George Soros wants to repudiate capitalism, let him begin by eschewing the market that is currently selling his book. We're waiting, George. * * * * * Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. is president of the Ludwig von Mises Institute in Auburn, Alabama. When YOU get some free time (from watching Fox news) you should look up media consolidation in America. Why? Media corporations love the GOP because they are all for the deregulation of media consolidation (including news corp. owner of your Fox news) which serves both of their interests(more money and less voices to oppose policy). You say you haven't heard about this? Well why the hell would large media outlets speak out against their own interests! Ask any free-lance writers, journalists, anybody with an untainted perspective....They all agree!!!
George Soros can't buy the democratic party because it has already been bought in the sameway the Republicans are. His criminal business practices can describe those of half of congress! HE is a non-issue unless your a die hard Republician who is jealous somebody is violating campaign finance instead of the GOP for once. If Soros wanted to capitalize on a depression he can (and probably is) right now thanks to GWB's devastating economic policy favoring the GOP's wealthy interests (big media, weapons manufacturers, insurance companies, etc.) Be careful who you vote for...your son may just get shot up in a country where he doesn't belong!!! But, don't believe me....research it for yourself (from an independent source) and see if I'm lying!

Ask Dan Rather that one. I am simply an American who thinks Kerry sucks. His economic plan will kill small business (the people who develop all of the new jobs). He can't afford a fraction of what he is promising. He now hangs out at black churches trying to get people to believe he is a poor black baptist. He is completely lying to the middle class by telling them that their taxes won't go up if he become president. If you own a 401K program, he plans in increase capital gains taxes....and sure in the hell includes most of the middle class. He says what he thinks people want to hear just to try to get votes. He is a political gigalo and his only true economic plan is marrying filthy rich women. He may have some of you brainwashed men fooled, but this educated woman ain't buying his snow job!

The media is controlled by liberals, thus the reason so many of you are brainwashed. A nation that is divided from within falls apart. The hatred that the democrat party has been spreading ever since our President took office has now spread over to half of the American people. Soros is an atheist, and hates everything affiliated with God. He sponsors the ACLU and many of our leaders who vote for removing God from everything. He can afford his agenda...he is a billionaire! He has made most of his money by helping to ruin the economies of various countries. He has recently met with several other billionaires who are determined to out Bush from office. I am a successful business owner who worked hard to earn everything that we now have. Our buiness is a small business. You say Bush's economic plan is not good; every single economist that I have spoken to disagrees with you; and even Alan Greenspan does! When you have small business owners, economists and Alan Greenspan telling the US that the Bush economic plan is correct, and that the Kerry economic plan will put us into a deep recession; who should you believe? I say...don;t believe any politician....but you are a fool not to believe experts in the field. Can you not admit that our nation has been split in two by these hate-driven campaigns? Will our country survive when we are divided? How can our union stand when there is such hate? Kerry is sponsored by a very evil man.....and unless you are able to admit this, or continue to be brainwashed into thinking the contrary....our country will fall apart. We are up against men who hate God, who want our nation to fall apart. Are they winning? Of course they are! They promote moveon.org, they lobby for removal of God from everything, and they know that if we remain united as a nation....they lose. You guys can either wake up, and be part of our destruction. We have to work together ...not against each other. If you believe in God....he have to make a stand.

Thats the craziest conspiracy theory I've ever heard.

I'm skeptical of what you say about Soros. He actually wants an economic depression so that he can earn more money while the rest of the country lays in financial ruin? It just doesn't fit well with his nature. He's far too compassionate for that kind of behavior and cares way too much for this country.

This is much more successful for the Party than the prematurely abandoned "Vote Kerry, he's not as scary" marketing thrust. Many supporters complained about the ad campaign, which featured the often-controversial comparison of Bush as Adolph Hitler to Kerry as Herman Munster. Kerry has helped spread participation in the political process.
Rather than re-use campaign advisers that successfully ran two national campaigns, he let others try their hands - former congressional staffers, local massachsetts hacks, even a totally out of touch failure (schrum). 1. Hasn't anyone on his staff told him that Reagan, Clinton, Bush etc all talked to the public like normal humans rather than making grandiose speaches. 2. You can see it in the ads now running in NH, a contested state. The punch line is actually a reinforcement of the Bush-Cheney re-election argument. Many people support W because they like the fact that he is resolute. So the brilliant Kerry team decides to fight him by saying that he is too stubborn to flip flop. 3. He keeps trying to find ways to give voters reasons not to vote for him. In the national debate Bush ducked and said he is not an expert on human sexual preferences. Kerry on the other hand, decides he is. Thats the reason most Americans will vote for him? And Edwards decides to drive away all the Catholic voters in PA who would rather give up their economic well being than support embryonic stem-cell experiments by making a national speach about it. Putting these morons up against Rove is like putting a jr high football team on the field in the NFL. cause of mesthelioma

Kerry and the Dems must be idiots if they can't puncture BC04's image of being the brave patriot.
Can anybody imagine what would have happened if Clinton ever did this? Or Kennedy, or Rangel. For that matter would Eisenhower or Nixon have had such desire as to joke this way? Here's what the BBC wrote about the guy who, with thousands of deaths, amputees, and other injuries at stake, makes jokes. This is how he supports military families? Bush's Iraq WMDs joke backfires The president could be seen bending over to peer at the floor of the Oval Office US President George W Bush has sparked a political row by making a joke about the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. At a black-tie dinner for journalists, Mr Bush narrated a slide show poking fun at himself and other members of his administration. One pictured Mr Bush looking under a piece of furniture in the Oval Office, at which the president remarked: "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be here somewhere." After another one, showing him scouring the corner of a room, Mr Bush said: "No, no weapons over there," he said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3570845.stm Frat boy drunk still lives THE MOST HUMILIATING AND SHOCKING THING I HAVE EVER READ

Former Democratic President Jimmy Carter says that the American Revolutionary War was "UNNECESSARY"
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6281085/ MATTHEWS: Let me ask you the question about—this is going to cause some trouble with people—but as an historian now and studying the Revolutionary War as it was fought out in the South in those last years of the War, insurgency against a powerful British force, do you see any parallels between the fighting that we did on our side and the fighting that is going on in Iraq today? CARTER: Well, one parallel is that the Revolutionary War, more than any other war up until recently, has been the most bloody war we‘ve fought. I think another parallel is that in some ways the Revolutionary War could have been avoided. It was an unnecessary war. Had the British Parliament been a little more sensitive to the colonial‘s really legitimate complaints and requests the war could have been avoided completely, and of course now we would have been a free country now as is Canada and India and Australia, having gotten our independence in a nonviolent way. It isn't that I couldn't be persuaded to vote for a Republican, but I'm not voting for Bush & Cheney and unfortunately no one else from the GOP ran against them in the primary.
The same thing happened when GHWB ran the second time, if the GOP had wanted to stay in the White house, they should hve tried running someone else. Many senior Republicans don't like GW, yet none of them stood up to oppose him and they are all going to vote for him. I just might ask where the rationality of that is. Re: BE STRONG!

Hey guys - your website was cited in The Irish Times today. It's a liberal, slightly left of centre broadsheet known as "the newspaper of record" in Ireland. Something along the lines of the UK's Guardian, but without the typos ;-)
Anyway, it's a subscription site at www.ireland.com, but I've pasted the article below: While candidates are out on the hustings, web wars are waged across cyberspace The US presidential election has spawned an array of pro and anti websites. Brian Boyd went surfing. "Are you going to vote for John Kerry even though you find him unpleasant, annoying, arrogant, waffling, misguided, or just generally unappealing in some profound way? Then you've come to the right place". The right place being the downright hilarious www.kerryhatersforkerry.com website. It's a place where people congregate to self-flagellate, all because the end (kicking Bush out) just about justifies the means (voting Kerry). Unique in that it's both an anti-Kerry but ultimately pro-Kerry site, kerryhatersforkerry says: "We're not voting for the name-dropping, condescending goon out of any enthusiasm - don't try to make us love him! - it's just that we need to be strong. He is truly awful, but we have to vote for him". An essential service on the site is the "Panic Room": "Worried that you'll blurt out to friends and acquaintances what you really think of Kerry, thereby costing him precious votes? Don't keep it bottled up inside! Come in to the Panic Room where nobody will see it. You'll feel better - without demoralising the base". With the Bush and Kerry official websites being unbearably tedious, a new type of "Web Wars" has broken out in advance of the election. Parody, satire and the odd bit of malicious humour are the order of the day as Republicans and Democrats invade cyberspace for one last electoral push. With political discourse on the web (especially US political discourse) being such a turn-off, these electoral sites have to be as imaginative as they are comedic in order to attract and sustain attention-deficit-disorder web surfers. Republicans have put together a clever www.communistsforkerry.com site, which plays on hysterical fears of installing a "pinko liberal" in the White House. "Bush-haters of the World unite!" it screams before highlighting "Kerry's Sensitive War On Terror" and drawing attention to the fact that if Kerry wins it will the last free election in the US. A Democrat-inspired site, www.billionairesforbush.com, notes that "On November 2, the unwashed masses will have an opportunity to defeat the man who has done more for billionaires than anyone else - George W. Bush. Forward this website to your filthy rich friends". There's also a very user-friendly facility here, which allows you to create your own billionaire name. All you do is type in your first and last name, and the computer does the rest. For example, type in "Bertie Ahern" and you get his billionaire name - which is Richard Enyou. Suits you, sir. The reply website is increasingly popular this election. There's even a www.swiftboatveteransforlies.com to counter the www.swiftboatveteransfortruth. com site. Meanwhile, www.botoxkerry. com has strangely convincing before-and-after photos of Kerry that would lead you, quite possibly, to believe that the candidate has had some type of "makeover". Over at www.osamasweepstakes.com, they'll tell you the exact day that the Republicans will produce Osama bin Laden as a final vote-winning stunt. The site tells us: "We all know it's coming . . . At some point in the next couple of months, Dubya and his cronies are going to miraculously 'find' Osama bin Laden and present him to the American public as if he hasn't been sitting around for the last year in Guantanamo under close CIA supervision . . . and next thing you know, it's another four years of this bunch of crooks. "Our goal is to alert American voters to this cynical ploy, thereby making it as hard as possible for George to get away with stealing another election. "So send this link to your friends, and get them to send it to their friends, and maybe for once we can pull the silver spoon out of George's mouth and insert it where it REALLY belongs!" www.toostupidtobepresident. com is a none too subtly-named anti-Bush site, whereas www.bushislord.com will, very convincingly, demonstrate to you how and why George W. Bush is not only the nation's leader, but also its "spiritual lighthouse and embodied salvation". An excellent site, with the parody buried a bit deeper than the others. Taking an altogether more serious approach is the US's small army of punk rockers who, by their web presence at least, are deeply divided about the candidates. At www.punkvoter.com, they're as anti-Bush as they come, but cross over to www.conservativepunk.com and you'll find a bunch of spiky-haired punk rockers who rejoice in all things Republican. Goth music followers also make their presence felt, but these are Goths of the "mainstream right-wing" variety and they can be found at www.rightgoths.com. "It's the easiest thing in the world to be a left-wing rebel," they write (though not in a scary black goth font). "They're not rebels against the system though, they're its court jesters and its propagandists." That's telling them. Still no sign though of a www.bushhatersforbush.com site, which in the name of political balance, if not democracy, should really be made available for undecided voters. Over on www.ebay.com, there's all sort of election-related tat available. "Team Bush" is selling its own line of "farm and ranch wear" while "Team Kerry" are selling dog tags, a reference to the senator's Vietnam war record. There's a really horrible "Kerry/Edwards Shoe In For 2004" shoehorn available, although perhaps more distressing are the Bush/Cheney pillow covers. Available for a mere $25 are watches which feature the candidates' faces, while at the top of the range you can find Bush Presidential Cuff Links for £165. But there'd be no need to panic-buy here - there are plenty left. Bizarrely, the most expensively priced item available is a record by Kerry's prep school band, The Electras, on which he plays bass guitar. Recorded more than 40 years ago, it's a snip for the tone-deaf Democrat-lover. © The Irish Timess Re: BE STRONG!
